End of a Hiatus

I haven’t even looked at the date of my last post. I just know that it’s been waaaaaay too long since I actually posted in here. I’m not making a resolution to post on a more regular basis. But I am definitely going to do my best to post at least once a week.

A lot has happened since I posted. Friends have come and gone. Life happened. One of the biggest losses in 2013 was the death of my cat, Susan. She had a second surgery in July to remove another mass and they warned me that she probably had about a year due to the cancer. Within a month, another mass had already grown to a large size (from nothing!!). Susan passed away in mid-November. At least she died with me holding her, in her own home. The loss was hard on me and especially on Ash, her adopted brother.

At the beginning of December I adopted a kitten for Ash. He has a condition called radial hypoplasia and was about 3 months old. Luckily he and Ash immediately took to each other. They love to play and will often curl up together, grooming each other. Ender’s condition doesn’t stop him from tearing around the house (including up and down the stairs) at full speed. And he jumps onto EVERYTHING. He’s almost five months now and is extremely adorable. He also has a fascination with Crash, my parrot, which I believe may only end when she finally nips him.

Movies have been seen, books have been read, shows have been watched.

I’m in the third series of Doctor Who. I’m only on “The Lazarus Experiment” mainly because I’m being dragged kicking and screaming through Martha. I can’t stand her!

What else has happened?

Oh! I got my first tattoo! It was a birthday present from Kim and I’m very happy with it. It’s three red and black diamonds on the inside of my left forearm. Yep, Harley Quinn diamonds. It was done back in July and I’m happy to say that half a year later I’m still in love with it!

Though I’d love to continue with updates, I’ll just stop here for today and pick up with regular posting later on!
